How to Create and Manage Your API Keys on Coinlocally?
Introduction
This article explains how API Key Management works on Coinlocally and how you can create your own API keys. API keys allow you to connect to Coinlocally’s servers using external applications or programming languages. With an API key, you can access wallet data, view transactions, place trades, and even automate deposits and withdrawals through third‑party tools.
How to Create Your API Key
- Visit the Coinlocally official website and log in to your account.
- Click the Profile button at the top left corner and select API Management.
- Tap Create API to generate a new key.
- Enter a label/name for your API key and your 6‑digit Google Authenticator code.
- Complete the security verification process.
- Your API key is now created. If you lose your Secret Key, you must delete the API and create a new one.
Additional notes
- You must enable Two‑Factor Authentication (2FA) if you want to perform withdrawals via API.
- Each account can create up to 10 API keys.
- Your Secret Key is shown only once — store it securely.
- Never share your API keys with anyone.
- For maximum security, enable Restrict access to trusted IPs only.
- Each API key supports up to 10 IP addresses, separated by commas.
- For full technical details, refer to the Coinlocally API Documentation.
Common Issues
- Forgetting the Secret Key requires creating a new API key.
- Not enabling 2FA prevents API withdrawals.
- Using unrestricted IP access increases security risks.
- Exceeding the 10‑key limit prevents creating new keys.
