Why is my withdrawal showing “Completed” but I haven’t received the funds?
Introduction
Sometimes a withdrawal may show as Completed on Coinlocally while the funds have not yet appeared in your external wallet or exchange. This situation can happen for several reasons related to blockchain confirmation times, network conditions, or the receiving platform’s processing speed.
What “Completed” means
When a withdrawal is marked as Completed, it means:
- Coinlocally has successfully processed your request
- The transaction has been broadcast to the blockchain
- A TxID has been generated and the funds have left your Coinlocally account
At this stage, the transaction is fully out of Coinlocally’s control.
Why you may not see the funds yet
Blockchain confirmations are still pending
Some blockchains require multiple confirmations before the receiving wallet credits the funds.
Even if the transaction is visible on the blockchain, the receiving platform may wait for additional confirmations.
Network congestion
High traffic on the blockchain can slow down confirmation times.
This is common with networks like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others during peak periods.
Receiving platform delays
Some exchanges or wallets take extra time to process incoming deposits.
They may have:
- Internal queues
- Security checks
- Maintenance or temporary delays
Wrong or incompatible network
If you selected a different network than the one supported by the receiving platform, the funds may not appear automatically.
In such cases, only the receiving platform can assist.
What you can do
- Check the TxID on a blockchain explorer to confirm the transaction status
- Verify that you used the correct address and network
- Contact the receiving platform’s support team if the transaction shows confirmed on the blockchain but is not credited
- Wait a bit longer if the network is congested or confirmations are slow
Important notes
- Coinlocally cannot speed up blockchain confirmations
- Once a TxID is generated, the transaction cannot be reversed
- Only the receiving platform can credit or recover the funds if there is an issue on their side
